This dramtic coastal soaring site is one of our favourite new sites.
The cliffs rise up a sheer 200m from the white sand beaches, and the sea is dotted with a collection of small islands with names like ‘Sattakut’, ‘Kho Ram’, Nom Sao, Rawing, & Khi Nok. Behind are huge fields of coconuts with plenty of landing options. The ridge is littered with deep cavernous caves, and troops of monkeys make their presence known as you fly above them.
With a north wind, it is a starting point for an XC onto the Main Range, but it is a joy to soar here with such a spectacular backdrop. The landing is right on the beach under the cliffs.
