Probably the best soaring & beginner training spot in Thailand.
Right on the beach, Dolphin’s Back arcs around in a curve facing the ocean, meaning it’s flyable there most of the time in the spring season with the prevailing south easterly thermal winds. At just 80m above sea level, this site offers laminar winds and easy beach landings. For most of the spring season, you can soar this small feature for up to 4 hours a day.
The site switches on usually around midday with the sea-breeeze. It is possible to connect with the main range of Sam Roi Yot from here.
