THAILAND 2017 TOUR DATES

WELCOME TO 300 PEAKS PARAGLIDING

If you've ever dreamt of flying over tropical beaches, coastal mountain ranges, & pristine mountain lakes - then you must have been dreaming about your next paragliding trip to Thailand. When we started flying here in early 2013, we thought we were dreaming too.

After flying three winter seasons here, we can confirm that this is no dream. Not only is the region of Prachuap Khiri Khan awash with great flying sites, it turns out that the provinces both to the north and south (Phetchaburi & Chumphon) are great too!

2016 SEASON UPDATE

2016 was another great season for us here in Thailand, despite some challenging weather brought about by the strongest El Nino on record. Even though normal weather patterns were severely disrupted at times, we lost only a couple of days to bad weather.

Pilots joined us from all over the world - from the US, Canada, Nepal, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, France Germany, Italy, Turkey, & Sikkim. We flew some great new lines, broke a few personal bests and added another 2 flying sites to our list of awesome flying spots.

Conditions for our SIV clinics with Debu Choudhury were great, and we managed to avoid the effects of an unseasonal storm towards the end of January. We based the clinics this year at Pranburi Dam, just a short drive from our base in Pak Nam Pran.

Flying conditions for our first tour were a little unreliable to begin with, but the weather soon settled back into normal patterns with day after day of perfect convergence setting up over the coastline offering some great flying conditions. As we progressed through February and into March, the flying and XC conditions got better and better.

FLYING IN THAILAND

Over the last 4 years, we have discovered a number of unique flying sites both along the coastline and in the hill-studded interior, which offer rewarding and challenging flying to a wide range of pilot levels. Whether you're up for breaking the Thailand distance record (now over 200km) or an intermediate pilot looking to further improve your skills, we have something here for you.

Many of these flying sites are accessible only by towing, as much of the terrain is inaccessible and covered in jungle. This is where our 200hp jetboat and SuperTow Hydraulic Payout Winch and /or scootie tow come into play. No bumpy jeep rides up to an impossible launch. Just hook up your bridles on the beach, and you're away.

We are running a handful of flying tours for intermediate and advanced pilots in February - April 2017. You can find further details about these tours here. Dates for 2017 can be found here

We are also offering a handful of SIV courses in 2017 which take place in late January / early February. Details to follow soon...

If you're in any doubt if Thailand is a good place to come and fly - look no further than our photo & video gallery. Then come out and see for yourself. We are under no illusion that this is one of the finest areas we know of for flying in Asia. The great thing is, it comes packaged with all the other fantastic things that Thailand is famous for - like great food, a wonderful climate, good entertainment and friendly locals.

Come and be a part of our tropical paragliding dream in 2017.

SIV & ACRO

Our spectacular SIV sites are 2 freshwater reservoirs 30km inland from the coast (Pranburi Dam and Kaeng Krachan), and the spectacular Dolphin Bay in Prachuap Khiri Khan. If there is swell on the ocean, we head to the reservoirs, but either way you couldn't ask for better conditions or a more idyllic spot to test your handling skills in a safe and professional environment...
